Political Makeover #2

Barbara Kaufman
Barbara Kaufman President of the Board of Supervisors

Carole Migden used the board presidency as a stepping stone to bigger and better things. Kaufman, a "fiscally responsible" liberal, may also be looking to move beyond local politics. But before she does, The Metropolitan suggests she consider her options. Cut or color, pullback or perm. Yes, it's shallow, but hair can make or break a political career. Just ask Carole Migden.

Barbara Kaufman

As styled by Violet Rossil of Sheirling Salon:

"This is a younger, fresher look. Updated. It softens her face and enhances her eyes." Sheirling Salon, 155A South Park Ave., 415/974-6940.

Barbara Kaufman

As styled by Mark Lewis & Devin Romero of Spaghetti & Ravioli.

"She has a square face, and her [current style] accentuates this and makes her look wide. She needs to slenderize and add some softness to her face. ... She can keep her bangs." Spaghetti & Ravioli, 210 Fillmore St., 415/863-7843.

Barbara Kaufman

As syled by Noel Williams of Cinta Salon.

"This look is uncomplicated, modern and assertive. It offers some contrast to what she's doing with her hair now." Cinta Salon, SF Centre, 415/777-3313.
