Surreal Art
By David Boyer
A group of SF artists are fighting back. They cannot stand by silently as sky-rocketing rents and mini-mallification dumbs down their beloved city. These urban guerrillas have devised a brilliant response: "earthquake propaganda." First with teaser stickers bearing the slogan "I'm Coming" and now with a full-on poster campaign, these self-proclaimed "seismic saviors" are "spreading the word about a city that's reached its limit." They hope reminders about the Big One will discourage some of the fainter-hearted newcomers. We wish them success with their endeavor.
